“Shelter” – Lone Justice

Given all the concerns many of us have about natural and unnatural disasters these day I thought the song “Shelter” by Lone Justice would be appropriate for the weekend.  I don’t remember where I was when I first heard this song but it resonated with me right away.  It’s one of those songs that makes you stop what you are doing and pay attention.   Maria McKee has a very distinctive voice and this composition clearly came from her heart.  The band didn’t last very long but 25 years later I still listen to this single on a regular basis.   You never know what life has in store for you but it helps to have people close to you who are willing to provide “…shelter from the storm outside…shelter from the endless night.”   I hope you and your loved ones remain safe.
